Who is responsible

This is a sole personal professional site. It is not a company, shop, or client portal.

What is collected

If you use the contact form, your name, email, company, role, message and optional LinkedIn address are collected so a reply can be sent.

If you request the executive CV, the same identity fields are collected, plus a short note on why you want the CV.

Those messages are emailed and kept in email, not in a site database. A phone number is not collected on the site.

If you accept analytics cookies, Umami, PostHog and Vercel Analytics may record page views and on-site events. Umami is privacy-friendly analytics. If you reject non-essential cookies, those tools are not loaded.

Why it is collected

Contact and CV-request details are used only to understand who wrote and to reply. They are not used for marketing lists.

Analytics, when you consent, is used to see which pages are read. It is optional.

Who processes it

Email is sent through Resend, which processes the message so it can be delivered. Resend is used as an operator for that purpose only.

If you accept analytics, Umami, PostHog and Vercel process page-view events as operators. They are not given the contact or CV-request form as a marketing list.

Personal information is not sold, rented, or traded.

Cookies

Necessary storage on this device remembers your language choice and whether you have answered the cookie question.

Analytics storage is optional. You can change the choice at any time from Cookie settings in the footer.

How long it is kept

Email introductions and CV requests are kept only as long as the conversation needs, then deleted from the mailbox used for this site.

Analytics data, when enabled, follows each tool’s own retention. Cookie choices stay in local storage until you clear them or choose again.

Your rights under POPIA

You may ask what personal information is held, ask for a correction, or ask for it to be deleted by writing to contact@armanddebeer.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) if you believe your personal information has been mishandled.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page will change. The current version is the one published here.
